· Can flow easily when heated, without chipping, flaking, or losing its smoothness
· Rigid when cool
· Can be carved precisely without chipping, distorting or smearing
· Colour must contrast with the stone die (Blue, red, green)
Wax is thermoplastic => distortion!!! ---- How to control?
The wax pattern should be stored on the lubricated die and invested as soon as possible after fabrication.
