1. Class I: Large (extends well towards tissues)

2. Class II: Between I and III

3. Class III: Small and unfavorable

Resorption is usually superior and posterior for the maxilla and inferior and anterior for the mandible.

In the maxilla, the anterior ridge and rugae are considered secondary support areas, as the anterior ridges seem more susceptible to resorption.
